HiQ has developed a new website for the Swedish Inheritance Fund

HiQ has developed a new web platform for the Swedish Inheritance Fund. Its focus is on accessibility and an improved customer experience.

“This opportunity to contribute our expertise in web development for the public sector is both a great honour and enjoyable”, says Anders Nilsson, Managing Director of HiQ Mälardalen.

HiQ has completely overhauled arvsfonden.se together with the Swedish Inheritance Fund. The purpose is to improve accessibility and give better support for visitors to the website.

“Our aim with the new arvsfonden.se is to make it simpler to apply for grants from the Swedish Inheritance Fund, and give better support to project managers working on Fund projects. We also want to give clear information for anyone interested in how the Swedish Inheritance Fund works and its beneficial role in society,” says Pontus Ekstedt, department head at the Inheritance Fund department.

The work has included a new grant application page with more clear information on how to place an application and what is required to receive a grant, and a page with collected information for project managers of fund projects. The navigation and content has also been reworked to be more clear and helpful.

The aim was also for the new web to be highly accessible, to simply access for website visitors who use ease of access helps such as reading tools. In addition to meeting the accessibility requirements of the WCAG standard, the Fund project “DigiKog - Cognitively accessible digital products and services” has assisted in making the web more easily accessible for users with various cognitive disabilities.

“We have a lot of experience in web development for the public sector as well as specific expertise in accessibility. Making information available is a great challenge for many of Sweden’s public operations, and many are approaching us with these assignments right now. There is a lot more to do in this very important area,” says Anders Nilsson, Managing Director of HiQ Mälardalen.
