HiQ, with the vision of becoming northern Europe’s leading tech consultancy firm, has in a short period of time acquired several businesses and opened new offices, including in Jönköping. The company now reveals the next stage of its expansion, opening a new office in Helsingborg. This is the next stop on the company’s expansion journey and will create many new jobs locally.

“We are growing in the south of Sweden, which is awesome! The fact that we are opening an office in Helsingborg shows the importance of the Skåne region. Both because of all the companies based there and because we can add even more awesome colleagues to our team, who can join us in simplifying the world through tech, design, and creativity. Having an office in Helsingborg means that we can reach even more customers and new colleagues,” says Fredrik Malm, acting CEO of HiQ.

HiQ is investing heavily in becoming northern Europe’s leading tech consultancy, and, undoubtedly, the company is on a journey of expansion. HiQ has opened a new office in Jönköping and, in a short time, acquired several companies in Sweden, Finland, and Germany. As recently as the spring, HiQ announced the acquisition of Headlight Group, with offices in Örebro, Västerås and Borlänge, as well as the German digitization consultancy Scandio. This fall, HiQ acquired the Lund-based IT consultancy company Advicon, the digital commerce specialist Lamia in Helsinki and Karlskrona-based IoT specialist Cogitel. The company now reveals its next stage of expansion by expanding its operations in Skåne with its first office in Helsingborg. Historically, Helsingborg has been a highly influential city, mainly due to its geographical location and manufacturing industry, which remains substantial. Helsingborg has also established itself as one of Europe’s most innovative cities, with major investments within the framework of H22, Helsingborg’s initiative to develop future welfare solutions aimed at improving the quality of life in a smarter, more sustainable city. The city is home to many multinational corporations and small and medium-sized enterprises, and it has a long tradition of wholesale, retail, and logistics. After Copenhagen and Malmö, the city is the fastest-growing in the Öresund Region.

“Helsingborg was the obvious choice when we were planning further expansion in the Skåne region. We already have customers here that we will now be closer to. The city is home to global corporations and smaller players that are important to us and, of course, being able to offer existing and new colleagues an office in the city is great given the importance of the city to us. We are taking over Skåne, which is really amazing,” says Åsa Melvanius, Head of Region South & VP at HiQ.

The new establishment in Helsingborg involves a high rate of expansion. With yet another office in the south of Sweden, the company is opening up for new local customers while at the same time offering existing customers access to local expertise. In addition, Helsingborg is an essential hub as a student city. This facilitates not only new job opportunities but also a potential path into working life for students via HiQ Leap, the company’s trainee programme that will start in early 2022.

The new office requires significant recruitment in Helsingborg, creating jobs locally. HiQ is looking for the stars of tomorrow to join the company and build up the local business. HiQ is convinced that tech development is the best way to make the world better, more sustainable, simpler, safer, and more fun. Anyone keen to be part of the company’s journey and expansion should apply to HiQ now.
